Biochar

Biochar is a stable form of black carbon produced from some biomass (biowastes, wood, plant material, manure, food waste, etc.) by pyrolysis and is frequently inoculated (“activated”) with manure, liquid kelp, beneficial bacteria and fungi, and becomes “Enriched Biochar”. Biochar can be used as a soil amendment, to decontaminate soils and water, and to store carbon!
Proponents of biochar claim that biochar can be used as a carbon sink to help capture and store greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
